Introvert Proofing is a blog about living freely with introversion and anxiety. Unfortunately, we often allow our introverted and anxious tendencies to rule our lives. This may leave us living small and dissuaded from following our dreams.

With a focus on personality, identity and self-acceptance, this blog is dedicated to appreciating and empowering not only the anxious and/or introverted, but anyone willing to learn, accept, and utilize all the traits that make you, you.

Here, you will find honest stories, tips, professional resources and holistic practices for self-help and discovery.

I grew up believing I didn’t have the right personality to achieve my ideal life. I wanted to travel, make friends, write, have a successful career, and date all the frogs to find my prince–we were promised princes in the 90s. But I was convinced I was too quiet, too nervous and too weird.

Then I started to find encouragement in books and online to learn and accept all the parts of me. And I never changed who I was. But I began to take small steps to respect my attributes and expand my comfort zone. Little by little, I started doing the things that excited me. I have now travelled, lived in a different country, met friends from other countries, and dated the frogs.

I am not a psychologist or therapist. I am simply someone on a journey of self-discovery. Learning about what makes me tick has become a bit of an obsession. My journey has included therapy, researching psychology blogs, learning self-care practices and taking personality quizzes (they’re more helpful than you may think). And I want to share what I have learned with others.

My hope for this blog is to inspire others and create a safe community where everyone can share their stories.
